授業概要

This course aims at applying the macroeconomic knowledge to analyze the actual economic development and macroeconomic management issues in emerging economies in Southeast Asia on the basis of economic reports by the World Bank and IMF.

履修条件

Prerequisite: "International Economics" (BC51071) offered by International Studies Department or its equivalent. In order to participate in this course, students need to have a basic knowledge on the framework of macroeconomic policies discussed in "International Economics" (BC51071). In Session 1, a placement test will be carried out to certify that students have the required knowledge on macroeconomics. Only those students who have demonstrated to have such knowledge in the placement test will be admitted to the class and given course credits. Advisories: It is recommended to take BC12342 (Development and Finance) in advance and have knowledge on variety of financing modality for economic development

成績評価方法

Placement Test Score (30%), class presentation (50%) and final exam (20%).
